As I lay here in bed just talking to the Lord….He gives me a promise in His Word….as I hope and trust in the Him.
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” I love this promise.
It’s an active position not passive. It’s receiving it from the only source that has it. ……..It’s orienting my hope toward God instead of toward my own ability to power through.
I have to consciously stop. Then I turn to God and say….: “I don’t have what I need. You do. I’m waiting on You.”
Sometimes it’s opening Scripture and reading promises about His strength. Sometimes it’s sitting in silence instead of frantically striving. Sometimes it’s honest worship: “I’m empty, and I need You.”
Admitting I can’t, and trusting that He will.
Then trust that renewed strength will come and it will!!
Where does my strength come from?
The Lord !!!
The one who made heaven and earth!!!!
